    Abstract: 時至今日,少子化已成為全球危機,各國紛紛推出完善的社會制度鼓勵生育。在台灣,除了可申請育嬰留職停薪外,2009年開始實施育嬰津貼的發放使得申請人數倍增。姑且不論是否可提升生育率,至少可讓想回家親自帶小孩的人擁有經濟層面上的支持。本研究之研究參與者為一對國中教師夫妻,因為有共同的價值觀與信念,所以做了輪流申請育嬰留職停薪、親自帶小孩的決定。
    本研究透過質性研究之半結構式訪談,探究一對國中教師夫妻,其輪流申請育嬰留職停薪的動機、在整個過程中的心路歷程及共親職的互動經驗。歸納研究結論如下:
    一、關於育嬰留職停薪
    研究發現Sean與Beville夫妻間彼此互相支持是繼續堅持下去的力量,對於外界不友善的態度,他們並不以為意。其次,本研究打破性別迷思的觀點,提供欲申請育嬰假的父母另一種思維及經驗參考。在少子化的現今社會中,育嬰假的存在的確有其必要性,當然也需要國家相關政策的支持。
    二、關於共親職
    本研究的參與者Sean與Beville在育兒勞務及親子教養方面不只呈現夫妻同心的支持行為及共同承擔的共親職模式,亦帶有密集親職的概念。其次,育嬰留職停薪的生活不僅僅是育兒工作而已,尚涵括了家務的共同承擔,因此並非外界想像般的「輕鬆」或可以「休息」。在看似平權的共親職模式中,雖然表面上是夫妻共同承擔家務,實際上還是有性別差異的存在。
    最後,根據結論,對未來研究方向及政府相關單位提出可能的建議。
    Up to now, the declining birth rate has become a global crisis, and every country has introduced comprehensive social system to encourage fertility. In Taiwan, in addition to applying for parenting leave without pay, the parental allowance distributed in 2009 has made the number of applicants doubled. Regardless of the improvement of fertility, the parental allowance makes those who want to take care of their own children have a personal financial level of support. Participants of this research was a public junior high school teacher couple. Due to having consistent values and beliefs, they took turns applying for parenting leave without pay and made a decision to take care of their own children.
    The qualitative study was conducted by means of a semi-structured interviews to explore the motivation of taking turns applying for parenting leave, experience of the process, and interactive coparenting experience of the public junior high school teacher couple. The results of this study are summarized as follows:
    I. Parenting Leave without Pay
    1. Mutual support between the couple, Sean and Beville, was the power of constant persistence, and never did they mind the unfriendly attitudes from the outside world.
    2. The research not only broke the perspectives on gender myth, but also provided another thinking and reference for those who plan to apply for parenting leave.
    3. In the modern society with declining birth rate, it is necessary for parenting leave to exist. Definitely, related policy support from the government is required.
    II. Coparenting
    1.The participants, Sean and Beville, presented the behavior of couple concentric parenting, demonstrated the shared coparenting model, and displayed the concept of intensive parenting.
    2.The life of parenting leave without pay is not merely educating children, but contains the sharing of household duties, which is not as easy as the imagination from the outside world.
    3.In the coparenting model seemingly equal rights, although the couple apparently shared the household duties, actually gender differences did exist.

    Finally, in terms of the conclusion, the study implied some suggestions to the authority concerned in the government.
